Beverly A. Meilinger's Obituary
Mrs. Beverly A. Meilinger, age 67, of Waupaca, Wisconsin, passed away Tuesday, August 29th, 2006 at her residence after a courageous, 21 year battle, with cancer. Mrs. Meilinger was born in Barton, Wisconsin on January 9, 1939, she was the daughter of the late J. Vincent and Laura Kircher. In 1952 she graduated from St. Mary's School in the Village of Barton and graduated from West Bend High School with the Class of 1956. On Oct 3, 1959 she married Carl J. Meilinger at Immaculate Conception Church. She was employed at Riverside Medical Center for 30 years, retiring in 2004. Bev enjoyed biking, camping, swimming and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an active member of St. Mary Magdalene Church and was a volunteer at the Wisconsin Veterans Home. She is survived by Husband: Carl J. Meilinger, Waupaca; Daughter: Jodi (Kent) Buttles, Ogdensburg; Son: Robert Meilinger, Waupaca; Thomas (Joelle) Meilinger, Greenville, WI; Grandchildren: Megan Harder, Stevens Point; Samantha (Jason) Passehl, Waupaca; Derek Harder, Ogdensburg; Chelsie Block, Ogdensburg; Alan Meilinger, Arizona; Garrett Meilinger, Waupaca; Chloe Meilinger, Waupaca; Karter Meilinger, Greenville; Konor Meilinger, Greenville; Great Grandchildren: Kalyna Harder; Ashlynn Schneider; Masen Passehl. Sister: Janet Petri, West Bend; Brothers: Donald (Joyce) Kircher, Laona, WI; Vincent (Kathy) Kircher, West Bend. Mother in law: Celeste Meilinger and Sisters in law: Gail Meilinger & Georgiann Waraksa. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Bev was preceded in death by her parents and by Son Patrick Meilinger and Daughter: Mary Meilinger, Sister: Carol Fuller and Special Aunt: Norma Westenberger. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community in Waupaca at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 1st, with Reverend Roy Geenen & Father Paul Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will be in the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9-11 A.M. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. The family would like to thank the staff of Theda Care Hospice for the excellent care given to Beverly. God Bless all of you.
