Bill (Sweet William) Bowden's Obituary
William A. Bowden, age 84, of Waupaca, Wisconsin passed away Monday, September 5th, 2005 at his residence. Bill was born in Glencoe, Illinois on November 16, 1920, he was the son of the late William E. and Helen (Burmeister) Bowden. He married Dorothy Berg in Chicago. They later divorced. He later married Dorothy Kolacki in Highland Park Illinois. She preceded him in death on Sept 22, 1999. Bill was known as Sweet William to many at Fox Fire golf Club in Waupaca. He enjoyed golfing, boating, snowmobiling and working in his yard. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He is survived by Son: William A. (Sharon) Bowden Jr., Glenview, Illinois; Daughter: Donna Lee (Charles) Murphy, Scottsdale, AZ; Step-Son: Russell (Cathy) Sindelar, Lockport, Illinois; Brother: Richard (Janet) Bowden, Necedah. Five Grandchildren: William T. Bowden, Charles A. Bowden, Brian W. Bowden; Dawn Birch, Britney Birch. Preceded in death by his Wife: Dorothy (Kolacki) Bowden and Sister: Margaret. Funeral Service will be held at Holly Funeral Home in at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10th, 2005. Father Paul Vanden Hogen will officiate. Private family interment will be at a later date at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, Visitation will be held Saturday 11-1 P.M. at Holly Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established to the American Diabetes Assoc. Holly Funeral Home
