Bob Delong Jr.'s Obituary
Bob Delong, Jr., age 81, of Waupaca, WI , passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at his residence. Bob was born in Kitts Hill, Ohio on August 10, 1932, the son of the late Robert and Mary Jane (Ruggles) Delong.
Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a Director of WI State Bowling Assoc. and Sgt. at Arms with The American Legion. Bob was a life time member of the VFW, a member of US Bowling Congress, member and officer with Disabled American Veteran's Assoc, and member of Nature's Edge Horse Shoe Team. Bob also was a bowling member at Silver Lake Lanes and Nelson's Strike Zone.
He is survived by his children: Jackie Bond, Lancaster, Ohio; Melissa Bateman, Pataskala, Ohio; Bob Delong, Raleigh, NC; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; devoted companion: Evalind Gray, Waupaca, WI; three brothers: Jack, Walter and Dawn Delong; and a sister: Betty Rutherford. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, four brothers and three sisters.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Friday, May 30 from 4 - 6 PM at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. Burial of cremains will take place at Lodge Cemetery Kitts Hill, Ohio. Holly Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
