Bonita Bailie's Obituary
Bonita Susan (Oliver) Bailie, age 59, of Waupaca, WI, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Appleton Medical Center. Born on May 2, 1950 to Louis and Lorraine (Helgeson) Oliver, Bonita married Brad Bailie on November 15, 1969 in Dilworth, MN. Four years later, the couple made their home in Waupaca, WI. Bonita worked for many years as the Office Manager at Riverhill Dental Clinic in Waupaca and was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community. Despite battling diabetes for over 50 years, Bonita embraced life with joy and compassion and will be remembered for her quick wit, unassailable sense of humor and love of laughter. She cherished time with her family and dear friends, and most recently her two grandchildren. She was a tremendous cook (to which her many beneficiaries can attest) and loved to bake, listen to music, and go shopping. Bonita touched the hearts of all who knew her. Bonita is survived by her husband Brad, Waupaca, WI; her son Brandon (Tara) Bailie and two granddaughters Morgan Elise & Ella Pauline, St. Paul, MN; mother Lorraine Oliver, Moorhead, MN; brother Carmen (Beth) Olivieri, Brandon, SD; sister Renee (Randy) Chrissis, Glenwood, MN; mother-in-law Wanda (Long) Bailie, Moorhead, MN; sister-in-law Nancy (Gordy) Wagner, Cross Lake, MN; sister-in-law Robin (David) Goble, Fargo, ND; brother-in-law Lonnie (Vicki) Bailie, Glyndon, MN; and sister-in-law Tamara Tabery, Moorhead, MN. Bonita is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father Louis, father-in-law William Bailie, and brother-in-law David Bailie. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 19 at 12 PM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca with Father Brian Belongia, officiating. Visitation will be on Friday evening from 4 to 7 PM at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca with a Remembrance Service at 7:15 PM. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Bonita's name.
