Bryan T. Cummings' Obituary
Bryan Timothy Cummings, age 65, of Wild Rose, WI, passed away on Wednesday, June 29th, 2016 at Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital. He was born in Crosby, MN on May 17th, 1951, a son of the late Shirley Gordon and Ann Margaret(Raykowski) Cummings.
Bryan married Kathy Malnory on September 18th, 1976. The two met at Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital, where he worked for 42 years as a physical therapist, including his foundation and direction of the rehab department at the hospital.
Bryan enjoyed many things that Wisconsin had to offer: hunting, his family-grown apple orchard, and quiet summer evenings in the rural countryside. Despite his love for Wisconsin, Bryan remained true to his heritage, clearly depicted by his loyal dedication as a Minnesota Vikings fan, from start to finish.
Survivors include his wife: Kathy Cummings, Wild Rose, WI; children: Brydie (Brett Derby) Cummings, Kremmling, CO; Cameron Cummings, Appleton, WI; granddaughter: Frances Katherine "Frankie" Derby, Kremmling, CO; sisters: Shirley Ann (Jack) Bosco, Centennial, CO; Maureen (Gerry) Brouwer, Minnetonka, MN; brothers: Tony (Kathy) Cummings, Aitkin, MN; Mark (Sandi Vee) Cummings, Minneapolis, MN; mother-in-law: Mary Malnory; sister-in-law: Karen (Jerry) West; brother-in-law: Karl (Susan) Malnory. Bryan is further survived by thirteen very special nieces and nephews, as well as hundreds of grateful patients. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Throughout Bryan's journey and illness, he was met with very kind, helpful people in all aspects of the medical community including those at UW Carbone Cancer Center and Southern Hospice care. In his final days, he was privileged to have the care and comfort of the loving staff at Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital, where some of the best parts of his life began, all of those years ago.
The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Plainfield, WI at 11 AM on Saturday, July 9th, 2016. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 8th, from 4 PM until 8 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose and also on Saturday at St. Paul's from 9 AM until the time of the service.
