SCANDINAVIA, WI Age 63 – died very unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at the New London Hospital in New London, WI. He was born on December 15, 1942 in Gary, IN, a son of the late Carl Richard William and Vivian L. (Vanaman) Miller, Sr. He married Mary Wilson on January 27, 1962 in the Township of Lebanon, Waupaca County, WI. Carl is survived by his wife, Mary, a son: Randy (Fiancée Mary Ellen Sexton) Miller of Neenah, WI, a daughter: Sherri (Steven Steeber) Miller of Winneconne, WI, three grandchildren: Candace Loomis, Ashley Miller, and Carl Richard William Miller, III, four brothers: Dennis (DeAnn) Miller of Waupaca, WI, Jerry (Lynn) Miller of Appleton, WI, Larry Miller of Waupaca, WI, and Roger (Lori) Miller of Waupaca, WI. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister-in-law: Kay Miller. Carl had been a truck driver for most of his adult life. He started his truck driving career as a milk hauler for Willard Wilde of Lind Center, WI. He had also driven for the H.F. Dushek Trucking Co. of Waupaca, WI, and the Mercury Marine Co. of Fond du Lac, WI. He then became an independent truck driver. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Teamsters Union #200 of Fond du Lac. Carl enjoyed playing cards and socializing with his friends. He was known as the neighborhood jack of all trades by his neighbors. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs, Chewy and Codie. Carl’s pride and joy was his grandson: Carl Richard William Miller, III. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 7, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca, WI, with Father Roy Geenen, officiating. Interment will be in the Park Cemetery in Ogdensburg, WI. Friends may call at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca on Sunday evening from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, and at the church on Monday morning, one hour prior to the time of the funeral mass. A Prayer Service will be held on Sunday evening at 7:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
