Carl Peterson's Obituary
Carl A. Peterson, age 60 of Waupaca passed away Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007 at Theda Clark Medical Center after bravely fighting esophageal cancer. Just as he was throughout his life, his loving family surrounded him at the time of his death. He was born on April 5, 1946, the son of the late Earl and Florence (Taber) Peterson. He married his soul mate, Elaine Jensen on November 1, 1969 and the two of them raised two devoted daughters: Lori and Angela. He made his living as a pig dealer, where he utilized his exceptional talent of negotiating. He showed an unending devotion to his family. He loved fishing, hunting and golfing. He was a skilled storyteller, card player and jokester. His integrity was unmatched. He could light up a room with his presence and could always be heard talking and laughing above everyone else. No matter the situation, he lived life to the fullest and always made life entertaining and fun! He will be greatly missed, but his amazing spirit and zest for life will forever be present in the lives he touched. Carl is survived by his wife, Elaine Peterson of Waupaca, his daughters: Lori (special friend, Ralph Noonan) Peterson of Almond, WI and Angela (Tim) Poth of Plover, WI, a grandchild: Charles Poth; his brother: Donald (Ginny) Peterson of Gold Canyon, AZ; his sister: Mary (James) Rothermel of Plainfield, WI and his sister-in-law: Jan Peterson of Lakeland, FL. Carl is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gordon and Norman. Memorial Services will be on Sunday, Feb. 4 at 1:30 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca with Rev. Dr. Charles Tews, officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Lakeside Memorial Park. Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday eve. from 5 to 8 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. A Memorial Fund has been established in Carl's name.
