Carol M Galloway's Obituary
Carol Marie Galloway passed away December 11, 2018 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, Wisconsin. Carol was born August 6, 1932, the youngest child and only daughter of Louis and Sophie (Pawlowski) Klinkert.
Carol was born in Stevens Point and attended local schools, graduating from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1950. Following some time in the Milwaukee area working at HoneyWell, Carol returned to Stevens Point where she was later united in marriage to Ronald LeRoy Galloway on August 30,1954. Carol worked at Weber Tackle and the Plover Whiting Paper Mill. After the mill closed, Carol went on to school at Mid-State Technical School to become a caregiver earning her CNA designation 1982. After retirement, Carol and Ron made their home in Washburn, Wisconsin where they both loved and enjoyed the shores of Lake Superior. Carol loved spending time with her family, all the holidays, and baking and cooking. Her wonderful meals and loving nature will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Carol is survived by her three sons, Christopher (Jolene) Galloway, Curtis (Bonita) Galloway, and Carey (Jackie) Galloway, ten grandchildren, Gaylee (Joseph) Frechette, Wesley Galloway, Ron (Staci) Galloway, Jeffrey (Annie) Galloway, Jason (Monica) Galloway, Eric (Amber Jones) Galloway, Kelley (Dean) Potila, Kyle (Jolene Peterson) Galloway, Shelby (James Modrak) Galloway, and step-granddaughter, Courtney (Ben Berndt) Phillip, seven great-grandchildren Ian, Madeline and Christian Frechette, and Clayton, Jaxon, Emilie and Cayden Galloway. She is also survived by a brother, Bill (Grace) Klinkert, and several nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 63 years, Ronald Galloway, in April of this year, and brothers Gene (Joan) Klinkert and Gerald (Lorraine) Klinkert.
The family will be holding a private service. Interment will be held at a later date at the Veterans Cemetery at King, Wisconsin. A special thank you to the staff at Olson Hall at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King for the care provided to this very special person. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
