Carol "Jeanie" J. Rosz's Obituary
Carol “Jeanie” Rosz, age 82, of Amherst Jct., WI, died peacefully at Bethany Home in Waupaca surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 6, 2022. She was born on July 8, 1940 in Amherst, WI; daughter of Carroll “Cal” and Lottie (Ward) Hansen. On April 2, 1960 Jeanie married William Rosz in Appleton, WI. Jeanie was an avid reader, loved to travel, and enjoyed bowling. She was a member of the Amherst United Methodist Church where she was active in many church groups. Jeanie was a smart, creative and independent woman who enjoyed a very social life with her many friends. She was a great friend to all and will be dearly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
Jeanie is survived by her husband William Rosz of Amherst Jct.; a daughter Lori (John Drzewiecki) Houston of Green Bay; grandsons Tayler Houston and Zachary (Heather) Houston both of Stevens Point; great-grandsons Brodie and Jace Houston of Stevens Point; sister Susan (Roy “Kirby”) Hansen Kortz of Waupaca; two nieces Sara (Scott) Withrow of Madison and Carina Hansen of Waupaca; two nephews Jay (fianceé Mindy Howey) Kortz of Waupaca and Joshua Hansen of Oshkosh; great-nephews and great-nieces Caleb, Hattie, Bryce, Elizabeth, and Abby; and also by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Carroll “Cal” and Lottie Hansen, and her brother James Hansen.
A Funeral Service for Jeanie will be on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Amherst United Methodist Church. Pastor Kari Riley will officiate. A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, October 12, from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst and again on Thursday morning from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst following the service on Thursday. A memorial is being established in Jeanie’s name. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
