Carol C. Lancaster
Waupaca, WI Age 89 – passed away on Friday, July 10, 2009 at Bethany Home in Waupaca, WI. She was born on March 23, 1920 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of R. Mayo and Elizabeth (Linder) Crawford. She married John H. Lancaster II on February 18, 1944 in Litchfield, CT. He preceded her in death on August 1, 1988. Carol is survived by two daughters; Kathy (Walter) Thompson of Waupaca, WI, and Nancy (David) Landry of Port St. Lucie, FL, grandchildren; Elizabeth Thompson (James McGurk) and their children Kaily and Lucy, Benjamin Thompson (Mary Erin Clem) and their son Kieran, Alice Landry (Justin Koenitzer), and Marion (Rob) Kavovit. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a sister; Elizabeth Larsen. Carol moved to Waupaca from Litchfield, CT in 2007. She had been a homemaker for most of her adult life. She had been active with the Girl Scouts, and was an avid bridge player and golfer. A memorial service will be held later this week in Litchfield, CT.
