Grandma Carol was always a light shining in my life. At 22, most of my early memories involve her teaching me how to ice skate at Iverson Park, how to swim at the Iola Aquatic Center (and held my back while I struggled to maintain a backfloat). She always went out of her way for gifts and even small occasions. She bought a special Fairytopia toy set on Ebay (not sold in stores) for me because it was my favorite movie as a child. I remember her comforting me as we transitioned them into moving into our old house when I was 5. I got a terrible thumb cramp in the middle of the night and she helped calm me down. I am an artist now, and she always supported that dream. The earliest drawing I have is of her from 2005, attached below. I recently dedicated my senior art show at my college to her love of sharing letters with me. I love you Grandma Carol, thank you for always being you, pouring your heart out for your grandkids, and always offering me a Coke.
Love your oldest granddaughter,
