Carolyn A. Krutza's Obituary
Carolyn A. Krutza age 93, graciously joined her soulmate on Monday May 7, 2018 with family at her side at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Carolyn was born on June 28, 1924 in Milwaukee and was lovingly adopted by William and Rachel (Boss) Peterson of Amherst, WI. She was a graduate of Amherst High School, where she fell in love with the late Gaylord “Shorty” Krutza. They were married on June 15, 1946 at St. Patrick Parish Lanark. They settled on the Krutza family dairy farm where they raised 7 children.
Carolyn enjoyed time spent with beloved friends at the Jensen Center, playing a nightly game of cards with her compassionate caregivers, catching a daily dose of The Price is Right, and shopping with her girls (and Mike). She loved cooking many family meals, attending every ball game she could, and spending her summer weekends at the lake. She cherished every second she spent with family. Most of all, she whole-heartedly loved her sweetie, Shorty. Their demonstration of love for life and love for each other will forever carry on.
Carolyn is survived by her children: Barb (Bill) Lepak of Amherst, Mike (Laurie) Krutza of Minocqua, Pat (Gloria) Krutza of Monroe, Tom (Barb) Krutza of Amherst, Mary (Tom) Jensen of Amherst Jct., Peg (Tom) Kolbeck of Stevens Point, and Kathy (John) Van Nuys of Amherst; 19 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; sister in law Rita (Al) Bestul of Winona, MN and Joyce Mills of Germantown; and many nieces and nephews.
