CATHERINE M. BRESEMAN
STEVENS POINT, WISCONSIN
FORMERLY OF ALMOND
Age 96, was called to her eternal home on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 17, 1919 in Summit, IL; daughter of Anthony and Harriet (Jurek) Ciesielski. On April 19, 1940, Catherine married Wilbur E. Breseman in Lyons, IL and together they shared 64 years of marriage before his passing on April 16, 2004. She touched the lives of all who knew her. Catherine’s everlasting faith and love of God was evident which showed brightly through her compassion, generosity, respect and love for others. She was the most considerate mother to her 12 children and many grandchildren; nurturing them all her life. Catherine enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and spending quality time with her family, especially during the holidays. She will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Harriet Ciesielski; her husband, Wilbur Breseman; three sons, Ronald (Judy), Richard, and James Breseman; an infant son, William Breseman; a grandson, Jason Breseman; two sons-in-law, Robert “Del” DelRosario and Barry Batten; five brothers, Rudy, Anton, Edwin, Edward, and Joe Ciesielski; and four sisters, Delores Anderson, Violet Palansky, Helen Huffmaster, and Francis Wright.
A Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI. Father Jim Vennix will officiate. A visitation will be held on Monday evening, May 23, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home and again on Tuesday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Badger Cemetery in the Town of Lanark following the service on Tuesday. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
A special thank-you to the staff at Atrium Post Acute Care of Stevens Point who showed love and compassion to Catherine these past 11 ½ years. Also, we would like to thank the staff at Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital who gave excellent care to our mother these past two weeks. The special treatment Catherine received will never be forgotten.
