Catherine L. Wilson
King, WI
age 86 – died peacefully and went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 6, 2010. She died at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, WI. She was born on June 17, 1923 in Cambridge, MD, the daughter of Cleveland and Liva (Hurley) Elsey. She married Basil Wilson on June 10, 1972 in Readfield, WI. He preceded her in death on October 15, 1996.
Catherine is survived by two sons; William David (Evelyn) Bromwell of New London, and James (Ann) Bromwell of Florida, two daughters; Sally (Ray) Savage of Goose Creek, SC, and Victoria (Sandy) Amador-Bell of Edinburgh, Scotland, nine grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is further survived by two nephews, a niece, other relatives, and friends. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Basil, her parents, and a sister; Florence Abbott.
Catherine had been a homemaker for most of her adult life. She became a resident of the Wisconsin Veterans Home in 1987. While living there she enjoyed doing ceramic work. She had also enjoyed cooking. She loved reading her Bible and listening to gospel music. A funeral service will be held at the Wisconsin Veterans Home – Ainsworth Hall Chapel on Friday, February 12, 2010 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Wayne Schwanke, officiating. Interment will be in the Hilltop Cemetery, Township of Saxeville, Waushara County, WI. A visitation will be held at the Ainsworth Hall Chapel at King on Friday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
