CHARLENE K. VAN HOUT
KING, WISCONSIN
FORMERLY OF APPLETON, WISCONSIN
Age 64, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. She was born May 26, 1951 in Appleton, WI; daughter of Howard and Arlene (Klitzke) Brandt. On June 14, 1969, Char married James L. Van Hout in Appleton, WI. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, reading, and making her famous deviled eggs. Char especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and friends.

Children: Heather (Mark) Magadanz of Shiocton, WI
Jamie (fiancée, Wendy Gebert) Van Hout of Neenah, WI
Christopher (Freddi) Van Hout of Appleton, WI
Grandchildren: Alyssa and Benjamin Magadanz of Shiocton, WI
Tyler Van Hout of Neenah, WI
Esther Van Hout of Appleton, WI
Sister: Judy (Don) Dake of Boulder Junction, WI
Brothers: Jerry (Ann) Brandt of Kaukauna, WI
David (Melissa) Brandt of Kiel, WI
Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Arlene Brandt.
A Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King following the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the name of Charlene K. Van Hout. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
A special thank-you to all of the staff at Aurora in Oshkosh and to the staff at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, especially Rochelle and Karen, for all of their help and support to our family the past couple of months. The special care our mother, Char, received will never be forgotten.
