Charles A. Gensmer's Obituary
Charles A. Gensmer, age 81, of King, WI, formerly of Waupaca, WI, passed away on Thursday, May 26th, 2016 at Wisconsin Veterans Home-Olson Hall. He was born in Waupaca, WI on December 13, 1934, a son of the late Arthur and Carrie (Davies) Gensmer.
Charles attended UW Stevens Point. He served in the U.S. Navy. Charles was a self employed barber in Waupaca, owning "Charlie's Barber Shop".
Survivors include a Nephew: Randy (Sue) Warren, Waxhaw, NC; Nieces: Jenni (Larry) Zielke, Waukesha, WI; Pat (Roger) Putnam, Mukwonago, WI; Julie (Phillip) Koch, Springfield, OR; Special Friends and Caretakers: Bob & Shirley Radtke, Weyauwega, WI; Special Friend & Companion: Alice Koepsel, Weyauwega, WI. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother in law - Carol (Duane) Warren.
Funeral Services will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca at 11:30 AM on Saturday, June 4th, 2016, with Reverend Jeff Fletcher, officiating. Interment will held at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff on 4th floor at WI Veterans Home-Olson Hall for all of the care they had given Charles.
