Charles Hugh Gordon Sr.'s Obituary
Charles Hugh Gordon Sr.
God blessed this world with a great father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend on July 25, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois. Charles aka “Charlie” or “Chuckie” ascended into the pearly gates of heaven peacefully in his sleep at the Wisconsin Veterans Home, where he resided more than 10 years.
Charles was a very humble and wise man of few words, always smiling but he was a hero to all who loved him. Charles attended Englewood High School in Chicago, Illinois. At 19 years old, he enlisted and served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He worked many jobs throughout his lifetime. Even though he lived in Wisconsin, Charles was a diehard Chicago Bears Fan. He enjoyed watching his favorite football team “Da Bears.” He played cards, golfed, sang, danced, fished and was an outstanding avid bowler.
Charles is survived by his children, Gwendolyn G. Ninham (Lloyd), Charles H. Gordon Jr. (Shequea), Tiambi Anderson and Taiwan Gordon Sr. (Judy), one aunt, Lostydia Gordon, one sister, Brenda Muhammad (Melvin), one nephew and niece Kashif and Dyamond Muhammad. Eleven grandchildren: Ashley, Alexis, Alyssa, Darius, Por’sha, Charles III, Jeremy, Taiwan Jr., Javion, Javil and Jazmine and a host of other relatives and friends. Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Denise M. Gordon.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
