I remember Charlie as a fine man, a great teacher, and a true gentleman.
My sincere condolences to the loss of Charles Larson. I've gotten to know Charles through the Waupaca Masonic Lodge #123 throughout the years. I met him a few times throughout the years. I always enjoyed and learned about the histories of Eastern Portage County, WI especially the area around the Pipe school just east of Amherst, WI. As well as the histories of Western Waupaca county. A lot of great knowledge and memories I have gained from corresponding with Charlie. The most memorable time I had with Charlie was at the Clearwater Harbor Bar and Grill in King, WI. In 2022. It was really a good time and a great memory of hearing him explain what life was like growing up in his era. Charles, thank you for the great memories and knowledge gained! May the Supreme Architect of the Universe rest his soul. I will remember him in my prayers. Phil J Janowski, Town of Hull, Portage County, WI.

Charlie was one of the best souls I ever met. During HS and FFA he and Elliott Michaels made farm visits together to follow up on proficiency projects. At that time in my life I needed good moral support and Charlie & Elliott both made this city girl feel proud of the work I had accomplished with my Mare & new born foal. They made each other and I laugh until we were almost crying as they both gave me tips and the confidence I really needed. In later years while I worked at the Telephone Co, Charlie would stop into my office weekly with a fresh bouquet of flowers just picked from his garden. Each bouquet brought joy to both the giver and receiver. Rest in peace my friend. My sincere condolences to the family and all those that mourn the passing of such a great man that Charlie always was to so many.
Doug & Linda, Jon & Sharon & Scott & Beth decided to go on a fall tour around Amherst/Custer area for an afternoon. It was very relaxing and fun to drive the old cars around for an afternoon. Jon brought up going to see Charlie we all agreed that was a Great idea!! He was Soooo excited to see all of us! We had a Great visit & headed home. Little did we know that would be the last time we saw him!! Rest In Peace our Dear Friend! Love to the entire Larson Family during this difficult time!! Praying for all of you!! Every 4 weeks when he would come and get his haircut .
Charles made ALL the ladies laugh, he was just a delight to talk with, I’ll miss those days but so glad I had him as my client and friend for many years.
God gained a Special Angel❤️
I met Charlie through my Mother after church one Sunday the same year he came back to teach. Having heard about Charlie for many years so when I ran into him at school I just blurted out Hi Charlie. Oops. That got a wry smile out of him along with Mr Olson
Charlie always had the biggest smiles and always gave the best hugs...
