Charles E. Leppen's Obituary
Charles Ernest Leppen, age 79, of Waupaca, formerly of Amherst Jct., died Friday November 17, 2017 at The Legacy Assisted Living in Waupaca. He was born June 10, 1938 in Iola, WI; son of Ernest and Eileen (Olson) Leppen who preceded him in death. Charlie graduated from Amherst High School in 1957 and worked as a school custodian and home painter. He loved Thunderbird cars and travel. Charlie visited Alaska, the last frontier, 29 times in his lifetime, often driving up on the Trans Canadian highway until Parkinson’s Disease limited him.
He is survived by his sister, Alice Leppen of Amherst Jct., Wisconsin.
A Graveside Service will be on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Nelsonville Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of New Hope, Wisconsin. Reverend Gretchen Anderson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Nelsonville Lutheran Church. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
