Charles Schultz Sr.'s Obituary
Charles W. Schultz, Sr., age 87, of Town of Almond, WI, passed away Monday, January 29, 2007 at Stevens Point Care Center. Charles was born in Hinsdale, Illinois on January 16, 1920, the son of the late Charles E. and Anna (Henke) Schultz. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. On September 13, 1941, Charles married Esther A. Lein in Downers Grove, IL. He was a Grounds Superintendant at the Hinsdale Golf Course for over 25 years. He operated a dairy farm after moving to the Town of Almond. He is a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. He is survived by two sons: James (Leanne) Schultz and Charles Schultz Jr. both of Almond, WI, three grandsons: Brandon, Blake, and Brent Schultz, and a sister: Helen Leaf of Mountain Home, AR. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Esther. The Funeral Service will be held at Hardell-Holly Funeral Home in Almond at 7 PM on Friday, Feb. 2 with Father Daniel Farley officiating. Interment will be in the Hope Cemetery, Town of Belmont, Portage Co. Wisconsin. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 PM - 7 PM at the funeral home.
