Charles Swenson's Obituary
Charles B. Swenson, age 65, of Green Bay, WI, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2006 at his residence. He was born in Portage County, Wisconsin on November 5, 1940, the son of Edward and Helen (Waller) Swenson. Charles married Mary Van Egeren on August 10, 1997 in Green Bay. He received his Bachelors from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville and his Masters from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Charles is survived by Wife: Mary Swenson, Green Bay, WI; Sisters: Ada (William) Karner, Eleva, WI; Margarette (Gary Gausmann) Moore; Mother-in-law: Margaret Van Egeren, Green Bay, WI; Brothers-in-law: Ted (Jean) Van Egeren, Green Bay, WI and Bob (Debra) Van Egeren, Townsend, WI; Sister-in-law: Jackie (Mel) Thiry, Green Bay, WI. Charles is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Arlen Moore, and his father-in-law, Alvin Van Egeren. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at Amherst United Methodist Church in Amherst with Reverend Arveda Kirk officiating. Interment of cremains will be held at a later date in the Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst. A memorial visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 12 noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst assisted the family.
