Charlotte Lepak's Obituary
Charlotte Ruth Lepak passed away at her home in Amherst on Saturday, December 21 surrounded by her family. Charlotte was born on June 18, 1913 in the Town of Carson to Frank and Millie (Hetze) Doughty. She married Chester Lepak at St. Mary Immaculate Conception, Custer on May 14, 1932. Chet passed away Sept. 25, 1987.
Charlotte was employed by the Worth Co. Fly Factory in her early years of employment and as a clerk at Security State Bank in Amherst Jct. and she and Chet were owners of Lepak Lumber Co. from 1963 to 1972.
Charlotte enjoyed sewing, spending time with her family and her trips with her husband Chet to Canada, Mexico, Nova Scotia, the Florida Keys and throughout the United States. She also treasured her winters in Cocoa Beach, Florida and her family and friends who came to visit and spend time with her there. In recent years she listened to the radio and followed the Brewers, Packers and Badgers. These past few years she especially enjoyed listening to the Amherst Falcons and following her great grandsons “the Zblewski boys”. Charlotte is survived by her son, Bill (Barb) Lepak and their children and grandchildren: Jodi (Mike) Zblewski and their children Christopher, Connor, Carter and Cyle, Jim (Michelle) Lepak and daughters Minta and Mia, Julie (Nate) Hoffman and their children Hannah, Jake and Luke. Also survived by the children and grandchildren of her deceased son Louis: Barb (Erik) LePak, Karen Lepak and children Marisa and Evan, Shawn Lepak, Christine Hildebrandt and children Amanda, Jesse and Josie, Lisa Annand, Vivian (Tim) Lukes and daughters Summer, Noell and Jamie. She is also survived by her brother Carl Doughty, sister in law Daisy Konkol and brother in law and sister in law Melvin and Kate Lepak.
She was preceded in death by her husband Chester, her infant daughters Mary and Cecelia and sons Donald and Louis and her siblings Mabel, Viola, Fred, Harold and Ben.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 29 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Amherst at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held from 12:30 - 2:00 PM at the church.
Burial of her cremains will take place at a later date in St. James Cemetery in Amherst. She was very proud of her grandson Jim who attended the PA program at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in Madison so she had prearranged to have her body donated to the School of Medicine in Madison.
