Charlotte L. Schnell's Obituary
Charlotte L. Schnell, age 73 of Nelsonville, WI passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, WI. She was born on December 8, 1941 to the late Herman and Lillias (Youmans) Schnell in Stockbridge, WI. Charlotte joined the Army on April 20, 1961 in Chicago, IL and was honorable discharged on October 5, 1962.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Beverly Isaacson of Nelsonville; son, Michael (Jan) Morales of Abbotsford; sisters, Mary (Charles) Barden of Scandinavia and Ivis Walber of Amherst Jct.; grandchildren, Theresa, Anna, Hattie, and Mikey; also other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Charlotte enjoyed reading, crafts, cooking, and spending time with family. She shared with them many stories, sayings, and songs (though she didn’t like to sing). She wanted her obit to say: “She was here and now she isn’t.” Charlotte liked to help people and volunteered at the ADRC of Stevens Point for many years especially in Amherst. She was an amazing “Tough Cookie” and will be missed.
Military Honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2nd at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI. Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
