So sorry to hear of this. Cheryl was my supervising teacher at East when I was getting my BS in FCE in 80’s. She taught me much, gave me a ton of resources and instilled my interest in child development. I went on to teach and chair at MMSDs SAPAR program for teen moms until I retired. I’m convinced that she and Jan Deadman steered me to be the teacher I became. She was super organized and had a great sense of humor in dealing with the kids. It was many years ago but I enjoyed and truly valued knowing her. My training from her influenced me and touched the lives of thousands of children. ❤️

Cheryl and I were teaching colleagues in FCS in Madison........she at EHS and me at Memorial H. S. She was a wonderful teacher and I always admired her program and her enthusiasm for her career and students. Sincere condolences to her family upon this loss, especially at such a time as makes it hard to gather. Warmly, Sue Simon

I remember Cheryl as an industrious and warm-hearted colleague at East High. Her Child Development classes were the highlight of the day for many students, motivated many to pursue careers in helping others, and the staff loved welcoming the young visitors (and future Purgolders) to our building on selected afternoons. What a meaningful legacy to leave all of us on the north and east sides of Madison. Best wishes for comfort from close friends and in faith. --Cynthia Chin

Peter and family, we are sorry to hear of Cheryl’s passing. We always loved and appreciated her dedication to beautifying our condo grounds with flowers and plants. We remember the wonderful treats she baked and shared at Christmas time. Our condolences to all of you.
