Chester Kowal's Obituary
Chester Kowal, age 95, of Amherst Junction, WI, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Wisconsin Rapids Health Services. Mr. Kowal was born in Poland, on March 22, 1926, son of the late Joseph and Katherine Kowal.
He married Joyce Glainyk on July 5, 1952 in Milwaukee.
Chester came to the United States from Poland in 1949. He was Nationalized in 1958. Chester worked at Allen Bradley in Milwaukee for 38 years. Chester and Joyce moved to Stevens Point in 1986. His favorite pastime was tinkering in his shed. Chester took multiple trips to Poland with his family.
Survivors include his Wife: Joyce Kowal, Amherst Junction, WI; Children: Chris (Mary) Kowal; Kathy (Tim) Burzynski; Joe (Rachel) Kowal; John (Cindy) Kowal; Jeanne (Chris) Hintz; 17 Grandchildren and 29 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters, one granddaughter and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 12th, 2021 from 4 until 8 PM at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst.
A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst on Tuesday, April 13th, with Pastor Derek Nett, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Portage County Share Program or Bootstrap.
