Claire Charles Heidger's Obituary
Claire Charles Heidger, age 78, of Almond, WI passed away suddenly on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Ministry St. Claire's Hospital in Weston, WI. Claire was born in Hancock, WI on March 12, 1935, the son of the late August and Luella (Stratton) Heidger. On April 29, 1961, Claire married Patricia Bigsby in North Fond du lac. He worked for many years as a custodian in the Fond du lac school district. He enjoyed deer hunting, gardening and his 3 dogs, Smokey, Pretty Boy and Tammy. He is a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. Claire is survived by his wife: Patricia Heidger, Almond; his children: Kim (Ron) Kollman, Humbird, WI; Susan Heidger, Albuquerque, NM; Roy Heidger, Wautoma and Gary (Emily) Heidger, Moundsview, MN; his 12 grandchildren: David & Joe Kollman; Angelia & Jennifer Patterson; Carlie Wilson; Cassandra Bucher; Jennifer & Kimberly Wilber; Marcus & Megan Heidger; Rachel & Katie Heidger; his 3 great grandchildren: Brandi, Brelynn & Bentley; his brothers: August (Bonnie) Heidger, Hortonville; Robert (Sharon) Heidger, Waupaca; Stanley, George & Joseph Heidger, Almond and his sister: Mary (Malcolm) Hintz, Almond. Also surviving are many nieces & nephews. Claire was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, Belva & Josephine and an infant and 2 infant brothers. The Funeral Mass will be on Monday, January 13 at 10:30 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, Town of Buena Vista with Father Jim Trempe, presiding. Burial will follow in the St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Town of Lanark. Visitation will be on Sunday evening from 4 to 8 PM at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst with a General Rosary at 7:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of mass at the church. In leiu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Claire's name.
