Clarence C. Lipke
Waupaca, WI
age 83 – passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. He was born on June 20, 1928 in the Twp. of Lind, Waupaca County, WI, the son of Charles and Madeline (Eilert) Lipke. He married Lucille Flater on August 1, 1953 at Zion Lutheran Church in Manawa, WI.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Lucille, three children: Beatrice (Jerald) Button, Burnell “Al” (Julie) Lipke, and Mary (Michael) Shanak, III, all of Waupaca, grandchildren: Mark (Nicole) Lipke of New London, Jessica (Clayton) Haffner of Florissant, MO, and Michael Shanak, IV (special friend: Athena) of Waupaca, great grandchildren: Gavin Lipke and Riley Lipke, and a sister: Leola (Daniel) Jenks of Wild Rose. He was preceded in death by his great grandson: Collin Lipke, his parents, a sister: Beatrice Lipke, and a brother: Irvin Lipke.
Clarence had been a Dairy farmer in Waupaca County for large part of his life. He had been a crane operator for Faulks Brothers Constuction Co. in Waupaca for several years, and then worked as a security guard at the Waupaca Foundry until his retirement. His family considered him a jack of all trades as there was nothing he couldn’t repair. Clarence had served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church in Waupaca.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Waupaca with the Reverend Martin Rich, officiating, assisted by Chaplain Wayne Schwanke. Interment will be in the Lind Center Cemetery, Twp. of Lind, Waupaca County, WI. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
