Clarence O. Riddle, age 98, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton. Clarence was born in Swea City, Iowa on January 2, 1921, the son of the late Clarence O. and Mabel (Godfredson) Riddle Sr Read Obituary
Clarence overcame early trials to have a long and happy life.
He had a good sense of humor.
Despite his cancer I recall him singing
a song for his doctor at Travis AFB in CA which helped brighten the doctors day.
I’ll try to send the video of his song to his family.
I hope Family and friends are soon comforted by memories of him.

I remember that "Mr Riddle" was a fine man and a fine example for us students. One of the little things I will always remember was that, more than once, he advised us that "the only person who will always really love you is your mother!" My condolences to his family.

He was a very fine basketball coach and teacher when I was a student at WHS in the late 50's. CO was the example of a intelligent man who was a real gentleman and it was an honor to play ball for him and listened to his wisdom in class. RIP Mr. Riddle. The best to your family. Will always have fond memories of Clarence following the baseball teams that Rick coached. The players and coaches loved him, his wisdom, humor, kindness and passion for the game. God blessed so many people, including me, through Clarence.
