Clarise Larsen's Obituary
CLARISE (NEE: MELBY) LARSEN
KING, WISCONSIN Age 87, died peacefully on Monday, October 12, 2009 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. She left to join her beloved husband, Richard, of 49 years to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus. Clarise was born on August 13, 1922 on a farm in beautiful Melvina, WI. She moved to Milwaukee where she met the love of her life, Dick, and they raised there family there. They were faithful and charter members of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Clarise looked forward to celebrating holidays and birthdays with their family. She especially enjoyed her great-grandchildren; she was Nana to Justin, Ty, Brady, Laura, and Ashly. A summer highlight for her was attending the Melby Family Picnic to see her family who gathered from many distant locations to enjoy fellowship and wonderful food together, which would include traditional Norwegian items. Roxanne (Timm) Canapa of Stevens Point, WI
Great-Grandchildren: Justin, Ty, Brady, Laura, and Ashly
Sisters: Geraldine (Frank) Leverenz of Madison, WI
Esther Medine of Green Bay, WI She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Bergina Melby; her husband, Richard Larsen; and nine other brothers and sisters. A Memorial Service will be on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 1:30 PM at the Main Chapel at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. Chaplain Wayne Schwanke will officiate. There will be no visitation. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
