Corlee F. Serafini's Obituary
In loving memory of Corlee F Serafini, who peacefully walked into the arms of her Lord on June 18, 2026, at the age of 86. Corlee was born on August 16, 1939, in Elgin, Illinois, to Florence and Leonard Mousel. Throughout her life, she graced the world with her radiant spirit, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met.
Corlee lived a life filled with love, adventure, and joy. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Florence and Leonard, her sister Phyllis Johnson, and her husband, Vincent Serafini and Dan Mueller. Her legacy of love continues to thrive in the hearts of her surviving family members, including her devoted daughters, Lori (John) Paul and Teri (Stan) Doman, and her dear brother, Mike (Sharon) Mousel.
Corlee's family was the centerpiece of her world, and her love extended to her grandchildren, Amanda (Efrain) Ayala, Amy (Jason) Young, John (Jenny) Guillen, Dan (Melissa) Doman, and Joe Guillen, and her treasured great-grandchildren, Penelope, John, Jaxon, Piper, Ian, Irelyn, Hadley, and Layne. Each of them brought immense joy to Corlee's life. She was incredibly proud of all of them.
Corlee's journey through life was marked by her two cherished marriages. She married Dan Mueller on February 16, 1957, and later found love again with Vincent Serafini, whom she married on October 7, 1978. Together with Dan, she owned Campertown and Wisconsin Brand while living in Illinois. After moving to Wisconsin, Corlee worked as a secretary for Iola Plumbing and Heating and Midwest Homes. With Vincent, she proudly co-owned VJ Serafini's Supper Club, where her charm and hospitality were felt by all.
Corlee's heart found solace in the beauty of Venice, Florida, where she spent countless hours on the beach, watching the sun dip below the horizon. Her love for Disney was palpable (even in her last days), and she seized every opportunity to visit what she considered her happy place. Known for being the life of the party, Corlee's laughter and energy were infectious, making every gathering a cherished memory. Her creativity at holiday parties, her bingo calling responsibilities, and her gifts from the Bag Lady will be missed greatly!
A private ceremony will be held to honor Corlee's extraordinary life, as per the family's wishes. In this time of reflection, the family extends their most heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Bethany in Waupaca, whose compassion and care provided Corlee with comfort and dignity in her final days. Their kindness will never be forgotten. They treated her like she was their own mother. We are forever grateful for them. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
