Dear Cathy and Family, I was broken hearted to hear about Dr. Lochner. I worked with him at the clinic for over 16 years and had nothing but the highest respect for him, both as a physician and person. Dr. Dent, Dr. Lochner and myself were all the same age, which gave us a special bond. I remember telling John when Mark was first diagnosed how horribly unfair it was, because he had given up his practice and went to King to begin to enjoy life more......and then came the terrible news. I retired a few months after him to spend all my time with a new grandson, realizing that none of us can predict what lies ahead, so better to enjoy life while we can. I would ask Dr. Dent how he was everytime I came home, almost dreading what he would say. John and I send all of you our deepest sympathy and prayers. Mark is free of that horrible disease, but the rest of you are now left without a wonderful husband and father and the community has lost a very special man.
