Dale F. Jensen's Obituary
Dale F. Jensen passed away peacefully at home on July 4, 2023 after a years-long battle with pulmonary disease. Dale was born in Waupaca, WI on February 19, 1954, the son of Fred and Elaine (Kimbel) Jensen. Dale graduated from Waupaca High School in 1972. During Dale's high school career, he participated in Cross Country and was a member of WHS's first ever class of male cheerleaders. Dale attended one year of college at UW - Stevens Point before returning home to help operate the family dairy farm in the town of Lind.
After his farming career ended, Dale worked many years at Taber's Greenhouse on West Fulton Street in Waupaca. He began work at Waupaca Foundry in January 1997 and remained there until his retirement in 2019.
Dale was a lifetime rock hound, and was never happier than during his many trips to Montana to search for agates on the gravel bars of the Yellowstone River. He spent a lifetime honing his skills of rock cutting, polishing, and flint knapping. He also loved hunting and fishing, and supported the Monarch Butterfly population with one of the best butterfly gardens around.
Dale is survived by nieces Carol Koeppler and Lisa Stiebs, nephews Rick Stiebs, Jeff (Barb) Stiebs, and Jon Stiebs. He is further survived by special friends Pam and Bill Pomerenke, Jessie and Gage Roberts, and Godson Drew Roberts. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and sister Jean Stiebs.
Per Dale's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
