Dan "Danny" R. Jenks' Obituary
Hi, my name is Dan R. Jenks, age 61, I passed away Monday, August 26th, 2019. I lost my battle with kidney cancer at home.
I want to put out a special thanks to my daughters, Jessica and LeahAnn who flew in from California to help me out. I was born in 1957 in Wild Rose then later moved away to Grand Island, NE with my wife Judi Trayler, had two daughters together but divorced later on. I came back to Wild Rose and worked at the Wild Rose Saw Mill for 25 years. Later I met June Gorman in my early 30's, the love of my life, we were together for 32 years. She passed away in 2016. Also preceding me in death were my parents - Clair and Joan Jenks and a brother - Jeff Jenks.
I am survived by 5 Children: Jessica (Barry) Zeait, California; LeahAnn (Sean) Sweeney, California; Rhea (Grant) Sear, WI Rapids; Ian Wicihowski, Oshkosh; Blaze (Samantha Hohler) Jenks, Wild Rose; Grandchildren: Ryan, Keira, Brett, Aidan, Ava, Aleah, Analise, Serena, Alex, Elena, Ava, Aubrey and Isla.
My hobbies included going to auctions, collecting tins, movies, landscaping, books, riding my Harley and just plain enjoying my grandchildren who kept me going after the passing of June, the love of my life who was a good friend with my ex-wife of all things. Thank you to my two remaining brothers, Kirby Jenks and Mark Jenks, who I could count on anytime day or night to fix things that broke around the house and my step kids, Ian and Rhea, you both were helpful to me over the years as well as neighbors and friends.
I leave this earth happy knowing I'm up in Heaven with all the family members who left before me. I'm Finally Home, p.s., I finally get to meet Jesus again, whom I personally met 39 years ago on one of the lowest days of my life. Thank You All!
There will be a Visitation held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 10 AM until 12 (Noon) at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose. A luncheon will follow after the visitation, location yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, Danny wishes to please have donations of any monetary gifts and cards be mailed to and be put in Mark Jenks name, to address, N5368 15th Rd, Wild Rose, WI 54984.
