Dan moved next door to us last August; after the initial formality of introductions, it was as if we've known each other for years. He was a kind, gentle soul who freely & openly offered his friendship without asking for anything in return. His willing spirit quickly endeared him to others. We all know he had a passion for food -- there were many times he whipped-up delicious meals in our kitchen; other times, he was sharing cooking tips or teaching us how to make a certain dish. We shared plenty of laughs over meals, football games & walks with his dog, Casper. Sunday mornings, he was over for coffee and/or breakfast before we all headed to church together. We enjoyed movie times at his place or game nights at our home. Playing pool, fishing by the river, raking piles of leaves, enjoying a chilly evening over a fire in the backyard...no matter the activity or place, we became a family. Dan was our brother; Dan was our friend; Dan was our family. You are missed. You are loved. And, we are blessed to have known you ~ Estela, Levi, Lillian & Anna
