Daniel L. Tipler's Obituary
Daniel L. Tipler, age 71, of Peshtigo, WI, passed away on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025 at ThedaCare Medical Center in Waupaca, WI. He was born in Green Bay, WI on September 15, 1953, a son of Melvin and Faye Tipler.
Dan was a world-class musician, singer/songwriter, and pedal steel guitar player. He could play almost any instrument and had an amazing singing voice, winning contests and awards as a young child. He was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt Muskies, he held the record on the Rhinelander Flowage for the largest Muskie despite the massive fish being an inch or two shorter in the snout due to the lake monster previously attacking a spinning boat prop. He was an expert craftsman while he owned and operated Chet’s Custom Cabinets in Peshtigo, WI. His cabinetry is still on display in hundreds of NE WI homes and is a source of pride for his former clients. Dan was most proud of his ministry, working with alcoholics and drug addicts while spreading hope and the word of God through his music. Dan was a huge Packer fan and rarely missed a game. He would spend hours reading, analyzing, and discussing all things Packers with his sons and his Father. Dan always had encouraging words in tough times and could be counted on to make you laugh until it hurt. He loved his family, sharing special relationships with both of his sons; each taking after him in his many talents respectively. May his spirit fly free and be at peace joined with our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.
Survivors include his Sons: Jacob Tipler, Green Bay, WI; Nathan Tipler, Suamico, WI; Grandchildren: Skyler Tipler; Allysa Benevidez; Valerie Tipler; Great Grandchild: Veda Benadivez; Father Melvin Tipler; Siblings: Mike Tipler; Pat Tipler; Kathy Tipler; Colleen Tipler. He was preceded in death by his mother - Faye Tipler.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI at 1 PM on Wednesday, August 27th, 2025, with Pastor Eric Jackson, officiating. Interment and Military Honors will be at the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King, WI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
