Daniel J. Wisz's Obituary
Daniel John Wisz, 72 of Amherst, Wisconsin passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Saturday December 24, 2022. Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Loretta (Stadter) Wisz, his Children Matthew (Jennifer) Wisz, Paula Wisz, James (Kristin) Wisz, grandchildren Hallee, Madelyn, Hanna, Avery, Dylan and numerous other brother / sister in-law’s and nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Daniel is preceded in death by his parents Chester and Adeline Wisz, his in-law’s James and Ruth Stadter and three brother in-law’s. Daniel (Dan) worked the last 17 years prior to retirement at Stock Lumber Company Stevens Point / Plover WI and Torborg’s Lumber Waupaca WI as an inside salesman where he made many friends and got to know many of the builders in the area. Dan enjoyed many hobbies such as local short track racing with his family (Wisz Racing), NASCAR, Fishing, Golf, Pool, Poker and Bowling.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Jensen Community Center on Saturday January 21, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM. The Wisz Family would like to sincerely thank Promedica Hospice Service for their excellent care of Dan as well as all the doctors and nurses that have cared for him over the past years, you have all been amazing. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers a monetary donation can be made in Dan's name to the following charities.
