Darryl J. Jastromski's Obituary
Darryl J. Jastromski age 58, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday March 17th in Cocoa Beach, FL. Darryl was born on August 10, 1965 in Milwaukee, WI to Fred and Mary Jane (Pionkowski) Jastromski.
Darryl attended Tomorrow River schools, graduating from Amherst High School in 1983. Darryl always loved sports, participating in football, basketball and baseball. He played Legion baseball at Stevens Point with the Sixers, also B.A.B.A. baseball with Iola.
Darryl started helping his father Fred out at Club Orlow in 1983. With Fred’s passing in 2020, Darryl took over managing Club Orlow fully with his mother, Mary Jane. Darryl started Flooring Express in Waupaca with Dan Mansavage in 1997.
At Freddie’s Club Orlow, Darryl had pool, volleyball, darts, bowling, dodgeball, cornhole, and milk bottle teams. He also had Sunday cribbage, and fantasy football. Too much was never enough for him. Darryl was a longtime member of the Portage Co. Tavern league. He supported many area and community programs. Darryl loved sports, especially golfing with his friends, trips with Jill and Wayne Groshek, and his Vegas travel buddies. Darryl loved all the friends he accumulated throughout his life and enjoyed seeing and spending time with all of them.
Darryl is survived by his Loving mother Mary Jane, sister Deb, brother Dale (Deborah). Niece Kelly (Gregg) Trudell, Great Niece Brooklyn, Great Nephew Bryson. Nephew Kyle and Nephew Kevin (Czarina) Jastromski. Darryl is preceded in death by his father Freddie, sister Diane, grandparents Ambrose and Evelyn Pionkowski, Alvin and Susan Jastromski, and many other relatives.

Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at St. James Catholic Church in Amherst. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst. Rosary will be held at 9:30 AM on Thursday at the Church followed by visitation from 10:00 AM until time of Mass. Burial will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery.
