David R. Bowen's Obituary
David R. Bowen, age 77, of Wild Rose, WI, passed away on Thursday, July 10th, 2025 at ThedaCare Medical Center in Berlin, WI. He was born in Wild Rose, WI on November 1, 1947, a son of the late Keith and Frances (Barnhart) Bowen.
He married Kathleen "Kathy" Bloechl on November 11, 1972 in Oshkosh, WI. She preceded him in death on April 23, 2021.
Dave was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed assistance. He very much-loved watching all of his grandsons’ activities and being the #1 Uncle to his favorite nieces, Kaysie and Kailey. Dave owned and operated Bowen Trucking for many years. He enjoyed making the rounds and stopping at various coffee clutches in the morning. Davel also liked spending time with his beloved cat, Harry.
Survivors include his Sons: Khristopher (Mishelle) Bowen, Saxeville, WI; Patrick (Carrie) Bowen, Wild Rose, WI; Grandchildren: Justin Taylor; Derek Bowen; Dylan Bowen; Wyatt Bowen; Greyson Bowen; Sisters: Janet (Jerry Wrage) Strehlow; Tori (Jeff) Straw; Lori (Bruce) Peterson; Sisters-in-law: Lucy (David) Bradley; Sally (Ed) Friedrich. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents and wife, Dave was also preceded in death by his daughter - Wendy Bowen and a sister, Cathy Bowen.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 1 until 3 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Wild Rose. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family of David Bowen.
