DAVID R. CLARKE
WAUPACA, WI Age 59 - passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2006 at his residence. He was born on January 3, 1947 in Racine, WI, the son of Robert Preston and Margaret (Krause) Clarke. He married Janice Stone on August 8, 1970 in Madison, WI. David is survived by his wife: Jan, three sons: Preston (Heather) Clarke of West Allis, WI, Paul (Holly) Clarke of Menomonee Falls, WI, and Stephen (Fiancé Kate Neumeier) of Appleton, WI, four grandchildren: Madelyn, Allison, Ethan, and Finnegan Clarke, his mother: Margaret Clarke of Boulder, CO, and a brother: James (Carrie) Clarke of Erie, CO and his children: Scott, Chris, and Gwen. David was preceded in death by his father: Robert Preston Clarke, and his grandparents. David had been employed as an engineer with the Waupaca Foundry for 15 years. Prior to coming to Waupaca, David had worked for General Motors, and other foundries in the Midwest. David was a very active member of Shepherd of The Lakes Church in Waupaca, serving the church in many ways. He enjoyed singing with the church choir and the Worship ensemble. He also enjoyed playing the trumpet and cornet at church. He was an Alpha ministry leader, and a past member of the church council. He had a passion for bringing souls to the Lord. David also enjoyed gourmet cooking and joke telling. A funeral service will be held at the Shepherd of The Lakes Church in Waupaca, WI on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at 10:00 AM, with Pastors Dean Wheeler and David Martin, officiating. Interment will be in the Lakeside Memorial Park Cemetery in Waupaca. Friends may call at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca on Tuesday evening from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, and at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated and can be directed to Shepherd of The Lakes Church or Theda Care at Home Hospice in memory of David R. Clarke. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
