David F. Landowski's Obituary
David F. Landowski, age 76 of Appleton, WI passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. David was born on August 16, 1946; son of the late Frank and Jeanette (Bartkowiak) Landowski in Waupaca, WI. He married Shirley Mae Barbian in April of 1968. After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy, David worked in construction with Pre-stress in Gulfport, MS until his retirement.
David was quick witted and liked to joke around and have fun. He passed on his sense of humor to his family. Spending time with his grandkids made him the happiest. David looked forward to football season and watching the Green Bay Packers, along with watching the Milwaukee Brewers. If he wasn’t watching sports, he liked Old Westerns and Fox News.
David is survived by his daughter, Theresa Ann (Kent) Abitz of Howards Grove, WI; son, Dennis James (Marie) Landowski and their children, Danica and Ethan of Kaukauna, WI; daughter, Jennifer Marie (Paul) Lohry and their children, Glen, great granddaughter, Nevaeh and Lindsey of Omro, WI; sister, Betty Landowski of La Crosse, WI; brother, Lynn (Rhonda) Landowski of TN; sister, Charlene (Don) Engelbert of Plover, WI; sister, Jean (Steve) Colombe of Amherst, WI; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. David is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Paul and two nephews James and Daniel.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, Almond, WI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10 A.M. until the time of the service at 11 A.M. at the Church. Father Peter Manickam will officiate with burial to follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery. The Hardell-Holly Funeral Home of Almond is assisting the family with arrangements.
