David R. Miller's Obituary
David Richard Miller, age 70, of Merrill, WI, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. He was born on May 22, 1948 in Chicago, IL; son of Dora and Roy Miller. He served his country in the U.S. Army and then spent 42 years working for Wausau Papers as an E & I Technician. David enjoyed making friends and was always willing to help anyone he could to have a better day. He was the life of the party and his blue eyes and smile lit up a room. David is loved dearly and will be missed by all of his loving family and friends.
David is survived by his children, Troy (Crystal) Miller, Todd (Tracy) Miller, and Justin Miller (Justin’s sister, Jennifer); many grandchildren; and six siblings, Tom (Betty) Miller, Bob (Debi) Miller, Roy (Sandy) Miller, Melvin (Susie) Miller, Clarence (Holly) Miller, and Debbie Cedarleaf.
Family is comforted knowing he is resting in peace with his mother, Dora Miller; a nephew, Trent Miller; godson, Joshua Miller; and brother-in-law, Fred Cedarleaf.
David’s children, grandchildren and other close family members were present for his Red White and Blue Honor Service at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI.
There will be Celebration of Life parties held for David’s friends and family in Merrill, WI where he enjoyed the majority of his adult life, and the last 15 years with his girlfriend, Linda Taylor. A second Celebration of Life will be held in Rockford, IL, where he grew up and frequently visited his beloved mother, siblings and friends. Celebration details to come early in the new year. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
