David S. Scherer's Obituary
David S. Scherer, age 75, of Waupaca, WI formerly of Beaver Dam passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Theda-Care Regional Medical Center-Appleton. David was born in Kenosha, WI on September 17, 1942, the son of the late Dean and Lavaun (Krupp) Scherer. On April 13, 1968, David married Gail Householder in Pewaukee, WI. Together they raised their two children, Scott & Jenifer in Beaver Dam. Gail passed away in 2004. David worked many years for Sodexo as a Food Service Director. On October 21, 2006, he married Carol Ransom in Waupaca. David is survived by his wife: Carol Scherer, Waupaca; his son: Scott (Hannah) Scherer, Iowa City, IA; his grandchildren: Kadyn & Finley Scherer; his brothers: Mark (Jean) Scherer, Sturgeon Bay, WI and Brian (Joan) Scherer, Arlington, VA and his step-children: Jeri (Jim) Yoder-Spelman, Rockford, IL; Jacki (Steve) Johnson, Waupaca; Anne (Chris) Melk, Waupaca; Brian (Heather) Neely, Waupaca, many step-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents, his 1st wife, Gail and his daughter, Jenifer Scherer and his step-daughter, November Doty. A Memorial Service for David will be on Wednesday, July 25 at 1 PM at the Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca. The memorial gathering will be on Wednesday afternoon from 12 PM until the time of services at the funeral home.
