David Scherer's Obituary
David H. Scherer, age 78, fomerly of North Fond du Lac, WI, passed away Thursday, December 8th, 2005 at Wisconsin Veterans Home, King, WI, where he had been a resident for the past 20 years. David was born in Fond du Lac, WI on October 1, 1927, the son of the late Henry and Anna (Nelson) Scherer. David graduated from North Fond du Lac High School. He was stationed in Japan while serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by his brothers: Harold (Delaine) Scherer, North Fond du Lac, WI; Henry (Harriet) Scherer, California; Calvin Scherer, Chicago, IL. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and one sister. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 12, 2005 at 1:30 PM at Wisconsin Veterans Home-Main Chapel, King, WI with Chaplain Tracy Hamelink officiating. Interment will be in the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Town of Farmington, WI. Visitation will be on Monday from 1:00 - 1:30 PM at the Main Chapel,Wisconsin Veterans Home. Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca, WI assisted with arrangements.
