David L. Trzinski's Obituary
David Louis Trzinski, age 88, of Stevens Point, formerly Lake Emily passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Thursday, April 2, 2026. David was born in Stevens Point, WI on August 25, 1937, the son of the late Joseph and Verona (Lukasavage) Trzinski.
David graduated from PJ Jacobs High School, Stevens Point, WI in 1955. He married Carol Lepinski on October 12, 1957 at St. Stephens Catholic Church, Stevens Point, WI.
He worked at Preway, Coca Cola, Bake Rite Baking Company and retired from Stevens Point Brewery after 25 years of service.
During David's lifetime he served on the Point Plus Credit Union Board, Amherst Town Constable and Lake Emily Water Patrol. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and enjoyed watching football, baseball and basketball games. He enjoyed going to local Casino's where he said he was always a winner.
David is survived by his three children: Patti (Andy) Freund, Fond du Lac, WI; Jane (Jim) Damrau, Amherst, WI; Jim (Leigh Ann) Trzinski, Amherst Junction, WI. David is further survived by 10 Grandchildren: Jeremy (Angela) Freund; Christopher (Tracy) Freund; Jeffrey Freund; Brian (Jen Lorenz) Freund; Jennifer (Aaron) Zurawski; Jared (Casey) Dombrowski; Ryan Damrau; Megan Damrau; Zachary Trzinski and Courtney (Nick) Scott. He also has 11 Great Grandchildren: Mason Freund; Lilian Freund; Syler Freund; Kayla Freund; Dylan Freund; Braxon Freund; Aiden Zurawski; Addison Zurawski; Kylie Dombrowski; Brynlie Dombrowski and Elijah Scott. Also surviving are David's brothers: Dennis Trzinski and Donald (Joan) Trzinski; and Special Friend; Lu Ann Friday and many Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his wife Carol; his parents Joseph & Verona; his father and mother-in-law Victor & Clara Lepinski; his sister Judy Zdroik and brother-in law Robert Zdroik.
Thank you for the special care given to David during his final days by Dimension Senior Living Facility - Aspirus Emergency Unit - ICU Unit and 5th Floor Staff and House of the Dove Compassus Hospice Care.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church (N2845 Shadow Road) in Waupaca at 11 AM on Saturday, April 11th, 2026, with Father Bill Menzel, officiating, Father Rommel Dacoco, concelebrant with Deacon James Trzinski, assisting. Interment of cremains will be in the St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery (Fancher), Town of Stockton, Portage Co., WI. Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9 AM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: The Friends of Lake Emily Lake Association in his name.
