Debra J. Bechard's Obituary
Debra Jane Bechard, age 67, passed away Tuesday October 11th, 2022 at Bethany Home in Waupaca, after a lengthy battle with Glioblastoma.
Debra was born on July 27th, 1955 in New London, WI, the daughter of the late Leon and Bernice (Woodward) Bechard. She graduated from Clintonville High School in 1973. Debra married the late Vernon Pelkey on October 14th, 1974. Together they had one son, Christopher. They later divorced. Debra met the late Kent Timm in 1995; together they had a daughter, Brittany. Deb worked many jobs over the years, including FWD in Clintonville, various retail and food service jobs. Deb had many hobbies, including crafting, reading, and nurturing plants - orchids being her favorite. She loved dragonflies, the beach, Reba McEntire, and her special cat - Jasper. Deb also enjoyed the holidays and making memories cooking and baking. Most of all, Debra loved her two children.
Debra is survived by her son Christopher Pelkey; daughter Brittany Timm (Payton Nix); sister Connie (Jack) Lehman; brother Tom (Sue) Bechard; sister-in-law Lois Bechard; “grand dog” Bella; and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Dennis.
A memorial service will be held at the Bethany Home Chapel on Tuesday October 18, 2022 at 3pm. A memorial gathering will be held from 2:30pm until the time of service at 3pm.
The family would like to thank the staff of Bethany Home for taking care of Deb for the last 2 years; and especially for going above and beyond making it possible for Deb to attend her daughter’s wedding last year.
