Delores A. Jansen's Obituary
Delores A. Jansen, age 82, of Plover, WI, formerly of Wild Rose, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021 at her home in Plover, WI. She was born October 8, 1938 in Wild Rose, WI; daughter of Hugo and Margaret (Huffman) Jansen. Delores graduated from Wild Rose High School in 1956. After graduating, she attended the Northwest Institute of Medical Technology in Minneapolis, MN. Delores was a medical technician for 43 years at Rice Medical Center in Stevens Point before retiring in 2000. One of her favorite activities was spending time on the land that came from her family, located on Round Lake near Wild Rose. Here, together with friends and family, she built a cottage which became her second home.
Delores was a member of both St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma and St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover. She will be dearly missed by all of her loving family and friends. Delores is survived by her sister, Gloria Farrell of Pecatonica, IL; nieces and nephews, Bill (Yvonne) Jones, Sandy Conant, Jerry (Carmen) Jones, Jody (Kim) Jansen, Mark Jansen, Christopher (Bonnie) McCalmon and Michelle McCalmon; special friends, Dorothy (Wayne) Stoflet of Combined Locks, WI and Gayle Weber of Oshkosh, WI; and her godson, Jason (Nancy) Stoflet of Oshkosh, WI. She was preceded in death by her father, Hugo Jansen; her mother and step-father, Margaret (Robert) Farrell; one brother, Delwin (Beverly) Jansen; and one sister, Beverly (Charles “Dan”) Baitinger.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home, 630 County Road G & H, Wild Rose, WI. A Memorial Service with Father William Evans from St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating will follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place at Howes Corner Cemetery in the Town of Mt. Morris, WI following the memorial service on Friday afternoon. The Holly Funeral Home of Wild Rose is assisting the family with arrangements.
