Delores Thiry's Obituary
Delores (Dee) Mae Thiry, age 82, went to be with The Lord on March 21st, 2005 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca, WI. She was born in Suring, WI., on June 23, 1922. Dee married Raymond E. Thiry on June 21, 1941 in Suring. They settled in Green Bay, where with love, patience, and devotion they raised five children. In addition to being a wonderful homemaker, Dee worked for Sears and Gold Bond Ice Cream. She also operated a home-based business where she made custom draperies in her basement. Dee was very proud of her family and Irish heritage. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, Packer games, and being with friends and family. She was also very active, to include holding offices, in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Cooties. Dee is survived by her two sons and three daughters: Gar (Sharon) Thiry, Pensacola, FL.; Jan (Sherry) Thiry of Brookfield, WI.; Barbara (Dave) Evenstad, Nashotah, WI.; Pam Williams of Waupaca, WI.; Kelly (Mike) Liu, Cincinnati, OH. There are also 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 5 living brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray and several family members. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community in Waupaca at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 23rd. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9 AM to 10 AM at the church. Memorials can be made to the Wisconsin Veterans Home - Chaplains Fund. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Riverside Medical Center for their kindness.
