Delyle and I were classmates from kindergarten through high school in Kiel. We went to Sunday School together where his mother was one of our teachers and we were in the same confirmation class at what is presently the United Church of Christ in Kiel.
We have attended many Kiel High School Class of 1956 reunions. He was always a very friendly and likeable person.
My sincere condolences to the family.

De was a valued and kind member of the Glen Park Middle School in New Berlin. He never passed anyone in the hall without a friendly greeting.

Our daughter Dianne married Delyle's son Peter. We were so impressed by Peter's
parents and glad that she was marrying into a wonderful and caring family. We will
miss "De" and thank God for him.

My sympathy to the families. How did I know DeLyle? The 1st 4 yrs. of my life were spent under the same Henschel roof.My parents rented the upper from Ed & Eva (now 81 yrs ago) DeLyle also, had a p-t job at the local Rexall drug store that incl. an ice cream and soda (phosphate) counter. This was a local hang-out for many Kiel High students. Floyd will remember--I think all the Henschel boys worked there at one time! God speed. Dick Kretsch Sussex
One of the nicest men I have ever met. Jerry Kaehr, Lakeland University ‘62
One of my fond memories was spending Christmas eves together after church at the Henschel's. Richardn and De would put toys together and Grace and I would finish wrapping and getting gifts out. Since we celebrating our gift giving with family early on Christmas Eve we could relax with Grace and De. They were close friends and after Grace;s passing we were happy that De found Ann and could enjoy life with her. His illness was not fair to him, to Ann, or to his family. He will be sorely missed.
