Denise L. Fisher's Obituary
Denise L. Fisher, age 61, of Nelsonville, WI, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at UW Hospital in Madison, WI. She was born April 17, 1959 in Stevens Point, WI; daughter of Ernest and Dorothy (Gavin) Dombrowski. On May 10, 1986, Denise married Richard L. Fisher in Rosholt. Denise graduated from Amherst High School and worked hard her entire life doing mostly manufacturing work. Her greatest joy came when she was able to retire and spend her days scoring deals at Dollar General, babysitting her great nephew, and spending time with the light of her life, her grandson Ernest. Denise loved deeply and will be remembered by all for her giving nature and beautiful spirit. She will be dearly missed by all of her loving family and many friends.
Denise is survived by her husband, Richard Fisher of Nelsonville, WI; four children, Samantha (Clay) Ruechel of Eagle River, WI, Cody Fisher of Amherst, WI, Penny (Todd) Borski of Stevens Point, WI, and Heidi (Bob) McConnell of Fall River, WI; four grandchildren, Kalaiya Borski, Emily Borski, Jackson Ruechel, and Ernest Ruechel; seven siblings, Kathy (Marv) Somers of Stevens Point, WI, Cheryl (Dwight) Hucke of Nelsonville, WI, Joan Woyak of Custer, WI, John Dombrowski of Stevens Point, WI, Wayne (Kay) Dombrowski of Amherst Jct., WI, James (Joy) Dombrowski of Amherst Jct., WI, and Paul Dombrowski of Amherst Jct., WI; and also by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Dorothy Dombrowski; her parents-in-law, Thomas and Loretta Fisher; a grandson, Casimir Ruechel; and two brothers, Ronald Dombrowski and Thomas Dombrowski.
A Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church – Polonia, Custer, WI. Father Alan Guanella will preside. A visitation will be held on Monday evening, February 1st, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, WI. Burial will take place following the funeral mass on Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
