DENNIS H. HEINZ
ALMOND, WI Age 63 – died on Monday, December 4, 2006 at the Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital in Wild Rose, WI. He was born on February 14, 1943 in Woodstock, IL, a son of Ellen (Lathrop) Heinz and the late Leo Heinz. Dennis is survived by his daughter: Gigi Heinz of Merrill, WI, a granddaughter: Mandy Meyer of Schofield, WI, a great granddaughter: Emma Meyer, his mother: Ellen Heinz of Skokie, IL, his cousin and close friend: Bernie Burzik of Almond, WI, nine brothers: Don (Dana) Heinz of McHenry, IL, Paul (Leslie) Heinz of Deerfield, WI, Tom (Mary) Heinz of Wauconda, IL, Dave (Sharon) Heinz of Skokie, IL, Leo (Linda) Heinz of Arlington Heights, IL, Mike (Kay) Heinz of Northfield, IL, Bill Heinz of Freeport, IL, Rick (Carol) Heinz of Wheeling, IL, and Jim Heinz (Barb Gray) of Marengo, IL, five sisters: Patty Berry of Arlington Heights, IL, Carole (Chris) Hynes of Morton Grove, IL, Mary Rinker of Puyallup, WA, Marnie Heinz (Dave Zielinski) of Chicago, IL, and C.C. (Randy) Geist of Island Lake, IL. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Heinz, and a sister, Janice Heinz. Dennis had been employed as a landscaper in a family landscaping business in Illinois for a number of years before a disability forced his early retirement. He then moved to the Almond, WI area in 1978 to live with his cousin and close friends: Bernie and Mary Burzik. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. Dennis enjoyed fishing and working on old cars. He had also done some hobby farming. A funeral service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI on Monday, December 11, 2006 at 1:30 PM, with Father Roy Geenen, St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at King, WI. Friends may call at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI on Monday, one hour prior to the time of the service. Military honors will be performed following the funeral service at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
